Hen and Terry

Thursday update from WLF

Terry doing well and progressing daily.  He’s a bit lazy with his speech though and may need a therapist to give him a shove!

We are both shattered by the loss of my Golden Retriever, Tiger.  He was only 7 years old.  He collapsed yesterday and despite being taken straight away to the vets they were unable to save him.  They do not know why he died.  He was extremely anaemic.  We may learn more today.  He was the most wonderful dog.  He went everywhere around the place with me and everybody knew him.  The house is empty without him.  Why do we get so attached to our animals?

The horses look fantastic.  We hope to run our new recruit Isleofhopendreams at Aintree on Sunday.  It should be softer ground up there.  It is still like concrete down here.  It is a beautiful crisp sunny day but not a cloud in the sky and no rain.  We can’t risk the horses on firm ground and withdrew our 3 from Fontwell yesterday as it was good to firm.  Surely things will change? Somersby is due to run at Kempton on Monday 31st.  We are praying for a let up in the weather before then.
