Winter Season Winners

We are now well into the Winter NH Season, but everybody has been suffering from the recent frost and snow. Training has not been easy with frozen gallops and icey roads. However, we have had plenty of runners and some nice winners over the past months and the horses are going well.

Somersby won his first ever Novice Chase at Warwick on 4th November and then followed up with a superb win in the Henry VIII Novice Chase at Sandown on December 5th. Cashpoint easily won his bumper race at Lingfield on 10th November. Minella Theatre won a good Novice Chase at Hereford on November 19th. Iona Days was 2nd on his first ever bumper at Fontwell on 6th November, a very pleasing run and Red Rattle was 2nd at Exeter on his first ever chase on the 10th. Gortenbuie, another nice young horse, was 2nd in a bumper at Uttoxeter on November 14th.

Teddy's Reflection, who is a lovely big chasing type, ran a super race to be 2nd in his first ever chase at Fakenham on November 30th and the yard favourite Ice Bucket ran a gallant race to be 2nd in a Handicap Chase at Newbury on 26th November.

More recently Calgary Bay ran a super race at Doncaster and won a competitive 3 mile Handicap chase under a patient and skillful ride from Graham Lee.
