Hen and Terry

POST CHELTENHAM

After a busy Cheltenham week, we are pleased to say that Somersby has come out of his race – the Queen Mother Champion Chase – in which he was 5th – very well.  Had he not made a bad mistake at the 3rd last he would probably have been placed.  He will now be campaigned for longer distance races and will probably be entered in the Melling Chase at Aintree over 2m 4f before stepping up to 3 miles next Season.  He is still very young and was the youngest horse in the Champion Chase.

Calgary is progressing well towards his run in the Grand National on 9th April. He looks fantastic.  Next week will be a quiet week, with only a few runners from West Lockinge Farm but April promises to be very busy.  Terry and Hen are off to Lismore Point to Point on Sunday in Co Waterford to try and spot some new talent.  It was at this Point to Point that they found Best Mate!

All shares in Ballygarvey are now virtually sold.  There is possibly one still left.  He will be ready to run in 2 weeks and works really well.
