May news

Balbriggan went to Doncaster Sales on Wednesday 21st May.  He made £35,000 and went to Gordon Elliot in Ireland.  He plans to run him at the Galway Festival.  There was huge interest in the horse and he was hardly ever in his stable.

A lot of the National Hunt horses from Mick Channons are now out in the fields on their Summer holidays.  They are doing really well.  Somersby did not enjoy his trip to Punchestown at all and is obviously no good too far away from home.  He is a very sensitive horse and fairly neurotic.  Next season he will only race close to home.

Sgt Reckless ran a good race to be 3rd but he’d had 3 races in a very short time at Festival meetings – Cheltenham/Aintree and Punchestown.  He lacked sparkle and he was probably go chasing next Autumn and looks an exciting prospect.

We have several Summer vacancies for liveries. Young horses to teach to jump or young horses to educate and school on the flat.  We also take horses in to sell for clients and have recently sold some nice young event horses.

Yogi Breisner is here again for clinics on Monday 2nd June.  3 sessions starting at 1pm.  Very inexperienced horses to horses of BE90 – BE 100/Novice eventing standard.
