Winter Arriving

Getting quite Wintery here now and the horses all growing thicker coats.  The yard is very busy with preparing horses to go into training and for various Sales in October/November.  Mick Channon should soon have more NH runners has he has taken back a number of horses from here who are virtually ready to run.  It will be exciting to watch them race. Mick already has a good strike rate with his juvenile hurdlers this season. Over the past months we have had several horses here for jumping schooling and general education.  The lovely stallion Langaller Starring Role was prepared from here for the Sporthorse (GB) Stallion grading at Bury Farm on 26th September.  He was awarded top marks and is a fine animal with a wonderful temperament and a great jump.  Yogi Breisner has been coming to West Lockinge Farm on a weekly basis and has been instructing all our riders as well as helping to improve the jumping of the young horses.  He plans to continue to come here throughout the Winter months.  If anybody wants to send a horse or horses here to further their jumping training, just give us a call.  We would love to have them.  Also the gallops and schooling facilities will be let out to people wanting to use them for Point to Point horses/eventers etc.  Watch this space re ex West Lockinge Farm "Horses to run".  It seems that the racecourses have had more than enough rain now!
